Promises made, Promises kept.

We are a team of compassionate individuals committed to making a difference in the current healthcare system by helping families who can’t afford the bills associated with unexpected life-saving medical treatment.

It All Started Within Their Family

Gustavo and Elvia Munoz are the passionate and dedicated founders of the Bill Me Foundation. Their story began a few years ago when their son Antonio was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. During this difficult time, they saw firsthand the financial strain that medical bills can place on families, and how it can prevent them from being able to fully support and care for their loved ones.

From this, Bill Me Foundation was Born

Determined to make a difference, Gustavo and Elvia decided to start the Bill Me Foundation. Their goal is to provide financial assistance to families in need, so they can focus on what matters most: spending time with their loved ones and getting the best possible treatment.

The Backstory

How Our Son Antonio Luis was diagnosed

You never know when life will hit you like a bullet train.

My name is Gustavo A. Munoz. I am a primary physician in Ponce, Puerto Rico since 2006 and Medical Director since 2013 for Centro San Cristobal in Villalba, Puerto Rico which serves a community of 20,000 people.

Let’s go back to April 2017, during my cousins wedding. We were all enjoying the happy occasion, and my kids weren’t the exception. They ran, they jumped, and dove head first through my uncle’s backyard like there was no tomorrow.

The next morning, my second son Antonio Luis (3y/o) was tired all day. We ended up putting him to bed unusually early that night.

The following morning while getting ready for school, Antonio was a different kind of pale, almost transparent. Mom took him straight to the lab for blood work and with one phone call, the bad news hit.

And then came the diagnosis.

Antonio Luis was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He was hospitalized for 3 months at San Jorge's Children's Hospital, and immediately began treatment with Boston’s Children Hospital's 2 year Protocol. He fought like a champ, and endured the entire treatment. My wife and I learned so much from him... things like will power, strength, resilience, trust, joy and love.

On one of our darkest days, we made a promise to ourselves and GOD. No matter the outcome, we are going to do everything we can to help other families get through the unwanted reality called Cancer.

This experience gave birth to the Bill Me Foundation, Inc. - a non-profit organization focused in health needs.
